P. S. In case you want or have a need for illustration work - that you would like something drawn TO YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS and would like to have me help you - we can do that. I have drawn quite a few ads and they usually have a “cartoonish” look to them, because that’s essentially what I do best. BUT THAT SHOULDN’T IMPLY THAT CARTOON ADS ARE INEFFECTIVE ADS. The whole idea is to catch people’s attention, period. People are very apt to stop and take a look when they see a cartoon. Maybe even smile. Maybe even buy (!). Or you may want me to design a certain card for you - whatever. ONLY YOU KNOW. But if you have a question you can e-mail me at info@ inkroom.org or click CONTACT MIKE HERE. The author, Lew Harriman, wanted to illustrate the absurdity of the tendency of some architectural designers to install air conditioning systems that created an excessive cooling capacity for the required needs of the planned space - as a waste of money, a waste of energy, and, most of the time, too damn uncomfortable. This guy with too much engine for his compact car was the metaphor he suggested. The owners liked the idea of Bacchus welcoming in his customers. The owners wanted to emphasize that their storage rental space could handle just about anything, including, if you look closely, the kitchen sink. | Return Home | Info to buy stuff | Political Cartoons | Golden Oldie Toons | Whimsical Watercolor Drawings | More Artsy Art | Mike's Books | Design Your Ad page | Contact Mike here | Brief Bio, &c. | |
